In Memoriam


	An Ode to Joly

First thing in the morning,

You would grab your cage door,

And rattle it so much,

We could stand it no more!

You loved to sit on us,

For cuddles and heat,

A huge personality,

You were our special treat.

You always wanted food,

That you shouldn’t have had,

Tomato soup, rice pudding, and custard,

You knew they were bad!

Walking on my keyboard,

Was always a game,

My e-mails from now on,

Will never be the same.


	Sweet Joly.... Please rest in peace, And always be assured, Our love for you will NEVER cease.

We got Dom & Joly back in 2001...

Unfortunately, in 2007, we lost Dom before we moved, but Joly survived our move to Scotland!

Then, on 26th July 2008, we noticed that Joly found it hard to eat, & being a weekend, the vet said to bring him in on Monday morning. They found a tumour growing in his chin bone, so there was no hope...

He was euthanased, & I held him in my arms until he passed away. It’s the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Unfortunately for Steve, he was at work, so didn’t get to say his goodbye....

He was a big part of our lives & we will always miss him.
